Hi everyone, my name is Dhanasekar Natarajan. I am currently working with CollPoll, a digital campus platform for higher education institutions, as Senior Product Engineer I in the Engineering Team wherein I plan and create some amazing stuff with my team.

Here, I aim to share with you an inside look into my daily routine, from the mundane to the exciting. When team CollPoll asked me about my typical day, I couldn’t stop but share:

What’s one thing that excites you the most in your day?

Having a long-term goal of improving myself motivates me naturally. I really like waking up early every morning and hitting my fitness goals.

What’s the most challenging thing about your work?

The process of finding a solution for a development problem is easy; the process of coming up with a long-term and sustainable solution is tricky. Additionally, identifying the root cause of production bugs in legacy code is also a challenge sometimes.

What does your typical workday look like?

My typical day is full of adventures! We do everything from building an architecture for the database, preparing a development plan, and fixing critical bugs.

What’s the coolest part of your work?

My work doesn’t restrict me to regular tasks; I can work on anything I find interesting. So, more opportunities to learn & grow!

What energizes and drains you when you’re at work?

Knowing that I have my team behind me, motivates me to keep going.

While repetitive tasks and multiple meetings definitely drain me at times! So, I prefer variety in tasks and regular breaks.

How would you describe your work experience in 3 words or less?

Engineers are always designing stuff and brainstorming new ideas. And my work experience has always given me that. In 3 words, I would describe it as – Challenging, Fulfilling, and Super-engaging.

What has been your best memories at CollPoll?

A particular highlight of my experience is the internship time I spent with the CollPoll team at the office. We worked, had amazing food, shared some laughs, brainstormed ideas, played table tennis, and had a wonderful time together. Those moments will always be treasured by me.

My recognition as a “Conqueror” by the company on the Coorg trip is another great memory for me. Well, I’m looking forward to building many more!

What is the key ingredient for achieving success?

The key to success is consistency. The only way to achieve your goal is to be determined and follow a routine every single day. The secret is to – reevaluate and adjust your goals as you grow!
