To better understand this, Digii recently conducted a comprehensive survey across 22 prestigious higher education institutions in 15+ cities, including Manipal Academy of BFSI, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Chanakya University, BITSoM – BITS School of Management, VIT Bangalore, The Apollo University, Malla Reddy University Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Art and Design, among others, engaging over 500+ faculty members. The findings reveal AI’s transformative potential for reshaping classrooms and enhancing the learning experience.

According to the findings of Digii’s AI Survey, 97% of educators are eager to incorporate AI tools into their teaching methods, with 41% already utilizing AI for tasks such as content creation, assessments, evaluation, attendance, feedback, and more.

Other Key Findings From the Survey Include:

• More than 93% of educators are enthusiastic about incorporating AI into their classrooms.
• 41% of faculty members are already utilizing AI to automate various tasks. Among these, over 70% utilize AI for content creation, 40.1% for generating assessments, 28.4% for monitoring attendance, 24.4% for conducting evaluations, and 22.5% for gathering feedback.
• 38% of respondents have experimented with AI but are not actively using it at present.
• Over 21% of educators have not yet explored AI tools.
• A quarter of the surveyed educators have integrated AI into their evaluation processes, enhancing grading efficiency and feedback systems.
• 95% of faculty members are willing to undergo training to effectively adopt AI tools in their teaching practices.

With over 58,000 institutions and almost 43 million students, India has the world’s second-largest higher education system. AI is emerging as a transformative force in education, offering personalized learning experiences tailored to each student’s needs. By automating routine tasks like attendance, grading, and creating quizzes and assignments, AI frees up valuable time for educators.
