CollPoll started its journey with a vision to empower the higher education sector of the nation by completely digitising educational institutions. The journey so far has been quite challenging yet exciting and rewarding. To celebrate this milestone and CollPoll’s contribution to the higher education space, we celebrated our 9th Founding Day on 5th August 2022 in Bengaluru with advisors, mentors, investors, well-wishers, team members and their families.

This success is largely attributed to passionate team members who don’t just believe in the organisation and its vision but also give their best to make it a reality. Hence, on Founding Day, we held get together for all stakeholders and team members who play a key role in CollPoll’s continued success.

The evening brought together board members, investors, advisors, employees, and well-wishers of the company to celebrate CollPoll and its contribution to the higher education system. Our advisors talked about what they find most exciting about CollPoll and what they have loved the most about this journey. It was an evening filled with fun stories, laughter, conversation, camaraderie, and friendship that had been formed over the years.

As we look back on the last year, here are a few highlights:

Team Expansion: Growing the Team Like Never Before

As we continued to focus on growing our team and setting significant goals, we are now a family of 75+ members for the first time. We have expanded the CollPoll family with approximately 20+ people joining our Engineering team and 25+ people joining our Customer Success team. Additionally, we made key leadership hires by appointing – Kunal Deep as VP of Customer Success, Nishant Varshney as AVP – South India, Shazil Ahmed – AVP Customer Success, Suraj Bhoyar as the Business Leader – Western India and Punith Ganadinni as Director of Engineering. Furthermore, our Advisors and Mentors constantly came forward to show their support. We will always be thankful to – Amit Pande, Amit Somani, Janakiraman Srinivasan, Dr Parag Diwan, Ravi Panchanadan, Sanjeev Shah, Siddharth Das, and Sudip Banerjee for being a pillar strength for CollPoll and its team’s growth and success.

Customer Signups: Establishing Partnerships with Progressive Institutions

We partnered with some of the most progressive educational institutions such as BITS School of Management (BITSoM), GD Goenka University, HKBK Group of Institutions, Sharda University, Uzbekistan, World University of Design, BML Munjal University, Apollo University, and Malla Reddy Group of Institutions among others. Thus, crossing our benchmark of onboarding 100+ higher education institutions, 190K+ users and 145K students. 

Introduced New Features and Launched Some Major Products

As we grew as a team and worked towards delivering advanced product offerings, we also launched some amazing features and products to help higher education institutions overcome day-to-day challenges and grow significantly. With all the passing years, we focused on developing products to reduce the workload on students, faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders.

Integrations & Partnerships

In the past years, we have made some advanced enhancements and forged some great partnerships. We integrated our product with multiple innovative solutions to help educational institutions run more efficiently, with less human error and a unified communication layer. Bringing these integrations to light:

• Automated Institutions’ Gate Pass Approval Process using Exotel’s IVR.
• Our Learning Management System was integrated with various video conferencing tools – Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, and Jio Meet to allow faculties to seamlessly conduct online classes on the CollPoll platform.
• Partnered with Leadsquared to help educational institutions digitize the admission processes.
• We partnered with Manah Wellness, to help institutions support students’ emotional well-being
• Blending top solutions like Koha as an open source integrated library system.

Extensive Platform Usage!

CollPoll had an exciting year – the number of users doubled, the user experience improved, and more institutions improved their digital presence. For students, faculty, and staff, we focused on providing a seamless, varied and highly enhanced digital experience.

From developing some awesome products to getting featured in some mainstream media, the journey was truly a rollercoaster ride for all of us.
